Miami, at one point this is what I referred to as paradise in the US. This trip was a little different than the one I had taken in the past. I was there on a mission…complete this triathlon and make sure you don’t get pulled out of the water. I was able to accomplish my goal because of all the support I received through training and prior to the race.
Outside of the race I was able to take in some beautiful shoots. The scenery in Miami makes it pretty difficult not too. I enjoyed the couple of days I was in Miami and was able to connect with the photographer that inspired me to go hard after this passion
These are mainly beach shoots. I guess both trips I spent a good amount of my time at beach and got a bit of a tan, maybe that explains why everyone I’ve seen since I returned is asking where have I been.

SoCal One More Time

Over the last 2 weeks I traveled from Atlanta to Phoenix , back to Atlanta, then off to Los Angeles back to Atlanta, then to Miami and finally one last and final trip back home to Atlanta. I’m tried just typing it.
The good thing about the trip was that I was able to capture some great shoots. I missed the boat in Phoenix, but hopefully I made up for it in California and Miami. Atlanta gets left out the mix since I live here.

Below are some of the shoots I was able to take in Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica. A few of my friends were up for some candid shots and I got side tracked by the surfers for a bit. The trip to Cali was mainly about work (my day job), but I was able to unwind over the weekend, hang with some friends and take some decent shoots..

The Things I Love

So they say shoot what you love and it will all come easy. Well I think I’ve been doing that, but I think I might love way too many things. Then as I am introduced to new things I end up having love affairs with them. At the end of the day it keeps me pretty busy, with little time for rest/sleep. I’ve been thinking about having a winter affair with sleep, since the weather keeps me away from some of my main squeezes.
At the moment my loves are:
- Running
- Cycling
- Boxing
- Volunteering
- People watching at the beach
- Photography
- Listing to people speak Spanish
- Mexican Food
- Big Breakfast
- Ok FOOD
- Anything to do with Entrepreneurs
- Football
- Active Groups
- Friends
- Music
- Facebook
- My Doberman (Apocalypse)
- Women

The list is in no particular order, and I’m sure I’m missing several things. Over the next couple of wks maybe even months I plan on taking this list and shooting images that paint this lifestyle vividly. Wish me luck on my mission/challenge to self.

Lauren’s Engagement

As always, this is my first dive into shooting an engagement. The couple was great to work with and I could tell they were excited about there big date coming up.

It’s pretty interest that almost every shoot I have is a first time experience for me. It’s pretty cool, because I’m learning something new every time and getting more comfortable with my composition and exposures. Like the great ones say ABS (always be shooting).

Black Tie Barbecue Catering

Who doesn’t love food, and I probably love food more than most. So when I got the chance to shoot my boy at an event he was catering I was all over it. Black Tie Barbecue Catering is fairly young catering service, but they are catching fire. The principles of the company are true entrepreneurs taking ATL by storm.

Body Designs

So, anyone that knows me understands that I’m kind of a fitness nut. I wasn’t always this way, but over the last 3 yrs, I’ve done a complete 180 and change my lifestyle. Going from the party, party, party guy to the triathlete, and health food addict. As I made all these changes, I meets some really cool people along the way, one being Corey Ritter. He owns his own personal training gym in ATL. He probably has the most energy of anyone I have ever meet in my life. He’s always on 10 and at the same time one of the coolest personal trainers around. I took some behind the scene shoots of a video production he was putting on.

Apprenticeship

This is pretty cool. Through a shoot I did for a great friend of mine Natischa, I meet Derek Blanks. She pointed him out to me and I told myself if I want to really learn about photography, I need to make this connection. I seized the opportunity and the he agreed to allow me to become his apprentice. Thus far it has been a great experience.

Pieces of Adrene

I know it has been some time since my last post, but I’ve been keeping busy, reading all I can about photography, setting up as many shoots as I can find time for and studying under one of the best photographers in the world. The photos below are prior to my apprenticeship started.

Pieces of Adrene is one of the hottest clothing stores in Atlanta and I happen to know the owners. She’s been a friend of mine for several years and when I ask could I shoot her store she was all for it. So the shoot lasted several hours, but I didn’t notice or mind, because I was doing something I truly love. Her energy was great and we had a blast doing this shoot.

My First Attempt

This time was the first time I attempted to try doing a photo shoot. At first I think we were both nervous, but by the end we both loosened up. It was definitely a learning experience, several of the images were badly blow-out (thank goodness for photoshop). I promised her once I honed this craft we would come do it again. The colors in some of these shoots is what I like the most.
